Celebrate National Family Volunteer Day with Doing Good Together™
Families are invited to come together to do simple, hands-on service projects, reflect on the importance of giving back, and learn about opportunities to keep giving back as a family.
Here are some of the kid-friendly service project stations that will be featured:
Creating literacy kits to be enjoyed by elementary age children receiving community supportive services
Tying fleece blankets for women surviving the winter without permanent housing
Assembling hygiene kits for immigrants and refugees newly settled in Minnesota
Creating baby essentials for young families in crisis
Coloring a giving bag to collect food as a family for your local food bank
Plus, even more projects!
Each organization will have a representative available to provide information about their mission and opportunities to stay engaged as a family.
Time Commitment: Come for as long as you'd like any time between 5:30 and 7:30 pm.
