“My 3-year-old would often complain about the garbage on the street, so one day I asked her if she would like to do some community service by helping tidy up. She was so thrilled and even stopped passersby to tell them what she was doing and showed them the garbage she had collected so far. In the end, she said she would like her friends to join her. I'm always looking for ways to engage my toddler in acts of kindness and community service, and this was a hit. She was so proud of her service to the community and now wants street clean-up to be a regular activity.
I was happy to get a video recording of her doing the service, stopping a stranger to tell him about what she was doing and calling on all her friends to join in next time.”
